Dr. Katie Kaufman
DOCTOR OF OPTOMETRY
Dr. Katie Kaufman, O.D. was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas. After one year at Wichita State on a cheerleading scholarship she transferred to the University of Texas at Austin and graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology.
Dr. Kaufman graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Houston College of Optometry. She then completed a year of extensive internships at Sharp Eye Consultants in San Antonio, Lakeline Vision in Austin and the University Eye Institute in Houston before beginning her career in Austin, TX.
Dr. Kaufman is a licensed Therapeutic Optometrist and an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. She is currently a member of the American Optometric Association, the Texas Optometric Association and the Central Texas Optometric Society.
In her free time, Dr. Kaufman enjoys swimming, wakeboarding, reading, traveling, watching Longhorn football and spending time with her husband, Jonah, her son Maxwell and two dogs Chance and Rylee.
Dr. Stephanie Lechlitner
DOCTOR OF OPTOMETRY
Dr. Stephanie Lechlitner grew up in a small town in northern Indiana. She received her bachelor of science in Biology at Purdue University while playing for the women’s club soccer team.
Dr. Lechlitner graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Houston College of Optometry. She was elected as a member of both the Beta Sigma Kappa and Gold Key International Optometric Honor Societies. She also served as trustee for her college to the American Optometric Student Association. Before officially moving to Austin to begin her career, she completed a year of internships in Austin, Houston, and Dallas.
Dr. Lechlitner is a licensed Therapeutic Optometrist and an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist and an active member in the Texas Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.
When she has free time, she enjoys staying active by going to the gym, playing sports, and being on the lake. She likes watching football, hockey, and soccer. Dr. Lechlitner also likes discovering new local spots with her friends.
